Ok, so my computer has gone ahead and thrown a whole lot of warnings at me saying that my C:\ and D:\ disks are failing, so im basically backing up all my stuff and will not use my computer much at all until I can replace its HD.
Word of warning to anyone interested in buying a HP dv6 from around 2010/11: these computers have a maximum lifespan of 3 years. There is a flaw in the cooling system that causes the computer to eventually effectively melt itself. This can be postponed by having an external fan blasting it when you notice a temperature spike.
I will not be able to post further art until this problem has been fixed, either by replacing the HD or getting a new computer.
This is going to be very interesting.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate 3DS
I have bought a 3DS XL for the sole purpose of playing the new Monster Hunter game. Not the first time I've acquired a new console in the pursuit of this series. The 3D was a shock to say the least. Fantastic though.
Seeing your menus and HUD float in front of your character is trippy as all hell in the best possible way. The part of the intro movie with the white Lagia made me squint when it thrashed in the water and droplets flew at me! 3D in games are completely new to me. Obviously.
And the 3DS is one crazy contraption. I cannot describe the extent to which I flipped out when I saw proper depth perception happening in a game. It's like
Pokemon Sketches
I've decided to, as a small side project, draw as many pokemon as possible in a sketchy but somewhat realistic manner.
For the most part I will just be going numerically, but If anyone has a favorite pokemon you would like to see me scribble, by all means request away- I'll put the requests before the next numeric pokemon.
If anyone has advice on how I can improve the pokemon pictures, by all means tell me- I'm not great at this whole digital painting thing in photoshop.

Turns out I have odd game tastes.
Aliens: Colonial Marines.
I pre-purchased the collector's edition on PC and scored a sweet statue, as well as assorted USCM themed paperwork. I really do love that statue.
Anyhow- I was having a jolly good time with the game. Had it set to easy and was being brutally murdered in the first level. I really cannot stress enough how bad I am at FPS'. I'm terrible! Hahahahaha!
I was thoroughly enjoying myself the entire time though.
Once I got to the second level and started being shot at by humans I was a little confused, and really quite curious. I am however worse at shooting at targets that can shoot back than I am at shooting swarming sha

I thought I'd mention I would be pretty damn distracted for a while. Due to a certain game I acquired. The statue that came with my collectors edition is fantastic by the way. I could stare at it forever.
This is going to be all sorts of fun to play with my terrible aim + an xbox controller. On my PC. Because I'm special like that. Behold my overuse of the full stop/period and be amazed.
Ok also I shall be looking for a job and my time management skills need work. One day I'll have everything sorted out and be able to juggle life, games and art.
